Other than George Orwell's 1984 I have been Stephen King all day erry day. I've read the first five books in the Dark Tower series as well as Needful Things, Hearts in Atlantis and Gerald's Game, which I'm reading now. I still love reading!

Man, I should try reading some of King's works. I have friends who are really into his books, but I just haven't gotten around to reading them, yet.

am wrapping up the five Songs of Ice & Fire (GoT) books currently. Count of Monte Cristo is next on my list though the only Stephen King I've read is Pet Sematary... it wasn't for me, dragged the whole way through :/ Haven't tried any others since

I finally got to watching House of Cards, which my friends have ceaselessly demanded that I watch. I binge watched the entire series over three days. I enjoy a lot of the series, but it suffers from something that a lot of modern shows have been relying on--stakes that are too high, and ridiculous drama. I get sick of watching series that always fall back on "OH NO, THE ENTIRE COUNTRY/WORLD IS AT RISK" type scenarios. It's lazy writing in my opinion. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the show at all. There's a lot going on with it, and the characters are very rich. I just wish they would tone the drama down a little bit.
