Sad to report but apparently there are already some issues with the download of FFVII. I keep getting messages that my serial number doesn't exist and it isn't just me. I saw mention of it on the FFVII PC board on GameFAQs.

Wasn't FFVII released on PC years ago?

yeah but now it has achievements and maybe a couple other things.
& just saw a story that FFVII went up and was quickly pulled down, but not before some bought it (clearly). and DRM won't let anyone who got it play, because it isn't out yet or something like that

Crap. I hope those of us who bought it will be able to play it when it is supposed to be out.
And to Wild: one of the cool things (for me anyway) about this version is that you can manipulate your HP, MP and Gil at any point in the game and to any extreme you want. I know that's cheap but I've never beat FFVII and it is my favorite game of all-time. I hope I can finally take Sephiroth down now!

That's pretty awesome, but that particular article didn't say if we have to do anything or if it will just be automatic.

Oops, nevermind. They e-mailed me with the details.

So I was finally able to download the game last night and watched the intro. I love that game so much! Can't wait to spend some serious time with it.

Eh, the series has kind of fallen off for me. It's been declining since X in terms of quality, and while XII was alright, XIII was pretty bad.
The MMORPGs, XI and XIV, I don't really have an opinion on either way since I haven't played them, but the fact that they are MMORPGs have me avoiding them.

I know there were some who were really attached to XI but, for the most part, it was a dud. And XIV has had all sorts of issues, including having to have it's gameplay completely overhauled since launch. I won't ever be playing those either. But I'm proud to say I have every FF game that has been released for consoles that I own that are among the numbered series, plus Crystal Chronicles on the GameCube. It is mainly the handheld games that I don't have and the SNES carts.

Yeah I've heard of the many problems XIV has had over time. The infamous 4.0 rating in GameInformer and having to re-haul the whole thing
I own and have beaten every game in the mainline series except III, discounting XI and XIV for the above mentioned reasons.
One of these days I'll buy it again and beat it. Maybe sometime soon since SE has it on sale on their site. I wouldn't mind having a non-garbage version of Chrono Trigger as well, so I might pick that up.

Yeah, pretty crazy. I'll most likely get it just to finish out the set, though.
