Stepping out lightly and into the breeze, the lightning fights the night with ease. Crispy crackling delights both my eardrums. Thunder clapping, where does it come from? Heaven's furniture, handle with care. Moving towards danger, completely aware. An arc of lightning branches to and fro, piercing the darkness above and below. Within and without I give not a thought. Looking, feeling for just that right spot. The rain is coating, conducting, producing. My life force a mistress, electricity seducing. Tension is building, my hair stands on end. Heat and light and power in a blend. Senses, and sense, scream: Hit the deck! There's a beautifully invisible X on my neck. But I stand defiantly, waiting my turn. Knowing reliantly that I won't be spurned. Here it comes now, molecules are dancing. Rigid and motionless, fleeting and glancing. Roiling in turmoil, I shall attain peace. My blood already boiled, beginning to freeze. The connection has ended, my body floats to the ground. This vessel empties with nary a sound. The lightning frees my spirit with ease. Stepping out lightly and into the breeze.
