ok, so it's an add-on for browsers. I downloaded it (DNT+) a couple weeks ago for firefox to check it out. Say like right now, it's blocking 4 companies from tracking me of the boards here, and 2 over on youtube. Some websites, it's blocking 10-12 (including Facebook, google, ad companies, etc) It's late and I'm pretty tired so prolly didn't get the most out of reading the article lol, but I guess there's a push to add DNT to browsers--included with them rather than just an add-on for us to go find. & That Microsoft wants to make it on by default for IE10, something about consumers privacy should be first concern or such. Adverts aren't liking the idea so much, and I guess threatening not to back it if it's on by default--only if it's off by default will they hop aboard. I'm not gonna go look into it more right now, to see who is and isn't looking at DNT cause I think it's kind of interesting to see. Lifehacker posted a chart over the weekend about companies battling it out for our privacy, and who wasn't doing much, I'll try and find it tomorrow. Anyhow, if yous are interested, abine.com/dntdetail.php is their website. I haven't checked out any of their other offerings yet, but they've got some other stuff listed as well that you can check out

It's amazing just how well enabling your default firewall actually works.
