I've seen The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in theaters this summer.
Some friends and I were going to go to the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises, but all the theaters around here are completely sold out.

I really haven't seen many movies lately, but I did see the Amazing Spiderman and Source Code.

Saw The Dark Knight Rises tonight. I was quite satisfied with the finale of this trilogy.

watched Expendables last night... meh. Action itself was fun enough, but it was kinda all over to me.

It could have been a lot better but I still loved it. It had all the familiar faces and a storyline straight out of 80s action cheese. Can't wait for the sequel next month.

I forgot to mention that I caught up on all the Avengers movies prior to seeing the actual flick, such as Thor, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk. They were all really good.

Not exactly a movie, but this evening I finished off the new CM Punk release called Best In The World. That's a WWE wrestler for those of you who don't watch. I was enthralled with the whole thing but that is no surprise as Punk has become my favorite wrestler over the last few years. Kind of odd, though, seeing as how I haven't been able to watch WWE programming over the last couple years and have missed Punk's best stuff. Thank goodness for this release. It has the prerequisite documentary portion covering aspects of his life on and off the screen, including lots of stuff about him I had never heard about. And it has several great matches and extras. I got the blu-ray which looks quite snazzy.
It made me miss the days when I got to watch every week but also made me appreciate the fact that, while it will never be the same as it was in the late 90s/early 00s, the WWE still produces some great talents, shows and events.

The Amazing Spider-man. To say the least, a Spider-man making a funny was nice.

I took my daughter to see Wreck-It Ralph last night and it was good but not as epic as I'd hoped. It is still worth a watch for all the retro gaming goodness contained within.
